The status of the last concrete silo in Iran
Director of Transformation and Food Industry of the Jihad-e-Keshavarzi Organization of Semnan province, said: “This great silo will be exploited next year,” with satisfaction from the constructional operations relating to the 100,000-tonne Garmsar Silo.
On the sidelines of the visit of the representatives of the Islamic Development Bank and a group of officials who had traveled to Garmsar in order to assess the physical progress of the project, Rahmatollah Kashi said that Garmsar Silo is under construction with the participation of the Islamic Development Bank and the exchange facility of 18.66 million euros and an average of 17.5 billion tomans is being built.
Director of the Food and Drug Industry of Jihad-e-Keshavarzi province said that the project is the latest concrete silo that is being built on government credits, adding that the silo was the last concrete silo in Iran, could resolve a major part of the problems with the requirements for the strategic storage of wheat in the country.
Mr. Kashi expressed hope that next year, wheat delivery will begin at Garmsar Silo, and this large silo will be exploited.
He evaluated the physical progress of the project satisfactorily, and noted: upon completion of the operation and preparation of this project, a portion of the wheat purchased in the large silo will be stored in 1398.
