The purchase of wheat guaranteed by the government exceeded 2.5 million tons
Since the start of the harvesting season until June 9th 2,548,586 tons of the surplus wheat has been purchased from farmers.
According to the information and communication association of ministry of agriculture, this amount of wheat purchase has increased by 2.4 percent compared to last year.
Based on the above report, the worth of the wheat purchased from farmers was 4,406 billion tomnas which 3,319 billion tomans off this amount has been paid to wheat farmers.
Khuzestan province with 1,274,000 tons of wheat purchase and Fars province with 278,000 tons of wheat purchase, and Golestan province with 261,000 tons have had the most amount of purchase respectively until now.
