The denial of the rumors that wheat silos are empty

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, while denying the lack of wheat
and flour due to the smuggling of these products, said wheat and flour are
available at a reasonable price.

Yazdan Saif responded to the issues raised by the emptiness of
wheat and flour silos in Isfahan province, saying: “We strongly deny this,
and we are currently setting up a complaint against a person who has raised
these issues.”

The director of Iran’s state-owned commerce company added:
“This person should explain the misinformation that he has presented and
disturbed the general public.”

The deputy minister of Jihad, saying there is a possibility of
smuggling any product from the country, continued: The wheat purchase system
and the sale of flour have been launched to prevent the smuggling of these
products.

Saif pointed out that the system had begun its work since the
beginning of the year, saying the system was tested experimentally in August
and its operation began in January.

He emphasized that for all the business units that have a license,
the amount of money needed to be paid for the system is high.

The deputy minister of jihad stated that the factories, bakers, and
related classes are members of the system, adding that “the system clearly
identifies who sold the flour, who bought it and who received the wheat.”
It captures the entire network of sales and purchases in order to prevent the
smuggling of products and their exclusion from the distribution network.

Saif emphasized that there is no shortage of flour and wheat in the
country, he said: “The topics that were raised by this person or that they
were unintelligible or deliberate because we have no problems in this regard.

He said that last year we bought about 9.5 million tons of wheat
from farmers, adding that harvesting this product will start in about two
months, and our preliminary forecast is to buy more than 11 million tons of
wheat.

Saif explained: “We supply wheat to bakeries at 900 Tomans and
to the guilds and industry units, at 992 Tomans.” But the price of flour
varies depending on its quality, the percentage of bran separation and depending
on which province it is purchased from (shipping fare).

But since the price of wheat we are offering is constant and the
factories are heavily in competition, the price of flour is not expensive, and
I think the average price for beverages is about 54,000 tomans, he said.

Deputy Minister of Jihad stated: Silos are full of wheat, there is
enough flour in all provinces of the country, and we have no shortages in this
regard.
