“The value of wheat production in the country is more than 300 trillion rials annually,” said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad.

Abbas Keshavarz, speaking on the sidelines of his visit to Dehloran Agricultural Fields, said the wheat cultivation in the country is 6,600,000 hectares, which saw a six percent increase in crop yields in the country.

He predicted that from this level of cultivation 144 million tons of wheat would be harvested and 11 million tons of this amount would be delivered to shopping centers.

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad also mentioned the two hundred and forty thousand hectares of canola cultivated in the country and said: It is expected that from this level will be produced four hundred and sixty thousand tons of rapeseed that the value of canola crop in the country is thirty billion rials annually.

Referring to the role of Ilam province in the production of all kinds of agricultural products, especially rapeseed oil, the farmer added: The oil mill in the southwest of the country is needed and we will support it if it is economical.

He acknowledged the role of Ilam province in relation to its area in the production of rapeseed, and noted: The level of rapeseed cultivation in this province is the level that we expect all regions to reach this percentage, and in this province the number of rapeseed in relation to the grain ideal financial number yogurt.

Heidar Nemati, Deputy Governor of Ilam’s Economic Affairs, Seyed Mohammad Torab Miri, head of the province’s Agricultural Jihad, and Majid Asgari, governor of Dehloran, head of the Ministry of Agriculture’s Jihad, accompanied the visit.
