Purchase price of guaranteed wheat was announced

Purchase price of wheat increased by IRR 5000 per
kg in 2019 compared to the previous year.

A government spokesman today (Monday) announced
the purchase price of wheat for the following year as IRR 22000.

Today, a government spokesman on the purchase
price of wheat in the 2019/2020 crop year stated that the guaranteed purchase rate
per kg of wheat was set at IRR 22000 in accordance with the Economic Council
resolution for the new crop year.

Earlier, the head of the country’s agricultural
and natural resources trade union had proposed IRR 28680 as the purchase rate of
wheat for the new crop year, and the head of the National Wheat Farmers
Foundation had offered IRR 25000.
