Implementation of the plan of producing high quality wheat in East Azerbaijan
The implementation of a wheat production plan in East Azerbaijan began for the first time.
Head of the National Iranian wheat production community in a group of leading directors, experts and farmers in six southern provinces, said: “This plan is being implemented to produce high quality wheat for maintaining health and increasing food security.”
Add-ons to this project, wheat makers who produce high-quality wheat with high levels of protein, will receive 10 to 20 percent more money than other producers.
He said: Due to the low-protein production of wheat in the dry provinces of the country, the project started for the first time from East Azerbaijan.
According to the head of the National Iranian wheat cultivator, the project will be operational a in all provinces of the country for up to five years.
Hashemi added: By implementing a quality production plan for wheat, farmer’s income has increased and the quality and protein of the produced product will increase.
The deputy director of East Azerbaijan’s Jihad Production Plant said at the meeting that the plan will be operational in the current year at more than 10,000 hectares of farmer farms.
Iranifam added: “The plan for improving the quality of wheat has also been implemented with proper planting, and will increase in agriculture.”
He added: “In this plan, wheat will be purchased from farmers one week before harvesting time on the condition that the quality and the protein are higher than the approved rate of the farmers.
At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the National Wheat National Fund on behalf of the farmers and the representative of the East Azerbaijan flour producers for operations.
In this meeting, leaders of Jihad-e-Keshavarzi and leading wheat farmers from Hashtroud, Charoymahq, Maragheh, Bonab, Malekan and Ajabshir participated.
