Wheat Project Executive of the Ministry of Agriculture recommended: Since the beginning of the wheat cultivation season, farmers need to pay attention to durum wheat cultivation required by the industry and pasta factories.

Ismail Esfandiarpour added on Thursday: According to the Economic Council’s decision, the price per kilogram of ordinary wheat is set at IRR 22000.
He said the price of durum wheat was more than the usual wheat price and called on farmers to meet the need for the pasta industry, as well as the reasonable price of durum wheat for their cultivation.
Esfandiarpour reiterated: A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the pasta factories and the National Wheat Farmers’ Association as representatives of farmers who produce pasta in provinces such as Khuzestan, Fars, Kerman (Jiroft, Kohnuj and Oruzyeh) producing durum wheat, with a 10 percent increase in government prices.
According to him, this means that with the increase in the price per kilogram of durum wheat will be bought IRR 2200 more expensive.
Wheat cultivation in 700 hectares of land
Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture said: According to the program of cultivation and production of wheat in the year 98-99 to produce 14 million and 500 thousand tons of wheat, 6,000 hectares of land goes under cultivation.
He stated that the wheat cultivation period lasts 100 days: He said that in early October wheat cultivation started in the cold climatic provinces of the northwest and west of the country and ended in the warm and arid climate of the south and the warm and humid Caspian climate in the first week of January.
Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture added: Since the beginning of October, 700,000 hectares of irrigated wheat and dryland have been cultivated, of which 100,000 hectares of irrigated wheat and 600,000 hectares of wheat.
