600 Thousand Tons of Wheat Have Been Stored in the Silos of Alborz Province

Chegini, the district general manager of Grain Co and Commercial Services of Alborz Province said: “The storage capacity of wheat is one million three hundred and fifty thousand tons in the province, which about 19 thousand 600 tons off of this amount is delivered to factories each month.
He added that 15,300 tons of flour is handed over to the Grain Company and Commercial Services of the province each month, which is available to municipal bakers for the purpose of bread use to citizens.
He also pointed out that having established of a rail link between the Alborz Silo and the wheat production areas of the country and he said that by setting up this railroad tracks, the main problem of the Silo’s transporting would be resolved.
Chegini said: “The refurbishment of Alborz outdoor silo sites have added 130,000 tons of wheat to the storage capacity.”
He added: “The launch of these sites has resulted in saving 76 billion Rials annually for the country.”
