33% increase in wheat purchases in the country
The CEO of Iran’s state-owned trading company announced the purchase of 905 thousand tons of wheat with a growth of 33% compared to the same period last year and 51 thousand tons of oilseed in the country.
Yazdan Saif said wheat purchases started in the country a month ago, and 905,000 tons of this product has been purchased by the company’s guaranteed shopping centers and 1008 billion Tomans was paid to wheat farmers.
The Deputy Minister of Agriculture added: “Wheat money will be paid to farmers after 24 hours after the delivery of wheat and registration in the system if there is no technical problem.”
Saif pointed out the role of rainfall in increasing wheat production, although flooding caused a loss of a small part of wheat in the country, but good rainfall has increased by 33% in the same period last year, and if the flood issue had not occurred, the amount of wheat purchased would have been even higher.
The director of Iran’s state-owned trading company also announced a purchase of 51 thousand tons of oilseed in the country and said: So far, 1489 billion rials have been paid to the subject farmers.
