20 wind mills were repaired in Darmian county

The director of the cultural heritage, crafts
and tourism department of Darmian county stated: Restoration and repair of
Darmian wind mills will be carried out for registration in the list of world’s historical
monuments, and this year all the actions, including the preparation of
documents, documentation and launching of materials is being taken in order to
register this wind mill in the list of global historical memorials.

He said a large part of the city’s wind mills
were completely destroyed, and only bricks of the remaining wind mill are
remaining, which requires a total of billions of funds to be fully restored.

Amir Esmaeil Shahsavari: These wind mills
have been repaired from 10 to 80 percent, dismantling, guttering, rebuilding, and
strengthening the walls and the implementation of dome coatings, are the action
steps taken in this respect.

He said that 126 seals had been identified in
the middle of the day, said 11 of them were in the central part, 94 were in the
Gazik section and 21 were in the Qehistan district of the city.

Shahsavari added that this year, the launch
of three wind mills in the city of Tabas is on the agenda.

Most of the city’s wind mills in the city of
Tabas have been identified.

Up to now, 60 mills have been identified in
this city and since 2005, 25 of them have been repaired.

The Tabas wind mills are made in 2 floors,
the ground floor consists of a limited space for storing flour and accumulation
of wheat, and the second floor is surrounded by three walls with clay and mud,
and the sidewall where the wind enters is without a wall.

The building is made of brick and mortar and
belongs to the Qajar period.
