18% Reduction in Wheat Purchases

Domestic purchases of wheat by the state-owned trading
company fell more than 2% in the first five months of this year compared to the
same period last year.

In the first five months of the last year the state owned
commercial company of Iran purchased nine million one hundred and fifty two
thousand two hundred tons of wheat worth one hundred and twenty one million
three hundred and sixty seven thousand seven hundred Iranian Rials.

In the first five months of this year, the wheat purchased
was in the amount of seven million four hundred seventy seven thousand three
hundred tons which was worth one hundred and twenty nine thousand one hundred
thirty one billion nine hundred million Iranian Rial, which has resulted in a
18.3% decline in weight and a 6.4% increase in value in the first five months
of this year compared to the same period last year.

Increase in the purchase of oilseeds

Iran’s state-owned trading company bought three hundred
thirty thousand three hundred tons of oilseeds from the domestic market in the
first five months of this year while the amount purchased last year was three
hundred sixty seven thousand eight hundred tons of oilseed, which shows a 11.3%
increase in weight and a 33% increase in the value.
